After arriving at Terminal Autobuses Ixmiquilpan grabs the local bus to the Centro-Mercado (10 MXN) and gets off at Mercado Morelos. Things to do at Grutas Tolantongo
The microbus that takes you to Tolantongo will make a stop at La Gruta. Grutas Tolantongo is divided into two sections: Paraiso Escondido and La Gruta. Each area is around 5 minutes driving. There is a Combi to moving from Paraiso and Gruta. It costs 10 MXN every 10 minutes.
For first-timers, I highly recommend you stay in Paraiso than the Grutas. Both places have their best attraction. Like a Paraiso Escondido, with the Pozas Termales, and the Grutas with the waterfall. However, there are many more things to see and do in Paraiso than in Grutas.
